Each beach is unique in its own way. Porthmeor with its long stretches of golden sand or the sheltered (and perfect for families) beach of Porthgwidden with an overlooking cafe and spot to grab an ice cream on a warm sunny day.
What to do when in St Ives
If you end up on the beach every day but feel you want to explore the town a little more then there are so many things for you to choose from. Take a foraging walk along the coastline or jump on to a local boat offering tours up and down the shores of St Ives Bay. Visit Seal Cove or take a tour around Godrevy lighthouse, if you're lucky enough you may even spot a few dolphins along the way.
Boat tours start from the harbour front, where you can book and pay for them on the day. Foraging walks, on the other hand, need to be booked in advance and when the weather's offering bright sunny days then advance reservations are recommended.
