Beach ban lifted on 30th September
There is never a bad time to go to St Ives on holiday and appreciate the beauty that Cornwall has to offer. If you are planning on bringing your favourite pooch on holiday with you, October makes the perfect time of the year for everyone to come over. At the end of September, the beaches will be lifting their dog ban to allow our four-legged friends to enjoy the most beautiful beaches in the county.
30th September
The Harbour St Ives will soon re-open for dogs so there will be no excuses left this Autumn not to enjoy an early morning walk by the sea with a warm cup of Coffee. Later in the day, you may want to book a table for lunch at the Porthminster Cafe to discover their selection of freshly cooked meal before heading down to the beach for a digestive stroll. Your dog will surely be the happiest to be able to have a dip in the sea on one of the most beautiful beaches in England.
Only a few steps away from your luxury holiday cottage in St Ives is Porthmeor Beach where you will be able to walk your dog all day every day. This fantastic beach makes the perfect location to take your favourite pooch for a walk only a few meters from your front door.
Porthgwidden restaurant is definitely worth a visit as they recently had an extension to fit more tables by the window which will give your dinner a whole new dimension. This dog-friendly restaurant will create the perfect end to your day before enjoying a lovely walk along the beach which will also become dog-friendly on 30th September.
Whilst you are staying in St Ives, make sure to visit Godrevy Beach and their wildlife in the Natural Trust Park. The large area of dunes will be the perfect playground for your dog and after a long walk you may want to stop over for a sweet treat at Godrevy Cafe.
As most beaches in Cornwall become dog-friendly at the end of September, October makes the perfect month to bring your favourite pooch to Cornwall.
