St Ives September Festival – What’s it all about?

For over 30 years the St Ives Festival has been a must for many seeking a cultural retreat, with an abundance of live music this year includes a budding line up that Seth Lakeman and Port Issac’s Fisherman’s Friends amongst many others, to the Open Artist’s studios, free exhibitions and guided walks.
Around every corner of St Ives and moments from your luxury self-catering apartment you will find street artists, painters and hosted talks, bringing the town alive once again as a finale to the Summer.
Dorothy King will be among 52 artists taking part in the Open Studios programme at 44 studios across 24 locations during the 2018 St Ives September Festival.
Her cast glass, printmaking and own collection of modern masters will be on display at Bahia, Tregos Road, Carbis Bay, St Ives TR26 2QU. Open from 2pm to 7pm from Friday, September 14 to Monday, September 17. Most studios will be open to discover from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday September 12, Saturday the 15th, Sunday the 16th and Wednesday the 19th but some times and dates vary and some are opening their doors every day during the Festival so check the 2018 St Ives September Festival programme.
September Festival regulars Lol and Maxine Crallan will be appearing at Cafe Art in the Drill Hall during this year's Festival. The talented musical duo have announced that they will be presenting their two-hour show at Cafe Art on Tuesday, September 18 (3pm).
