Sunset Takeaways in St Ives
Whether having a busy day on the beach, a day exploring the shops or you've been walking along the South West Coastal Path all day, the best way to end your day is to enjoy an evening watching the sunset with some delicious food.
Just a minutes walk from our Sail Lofts luxury apartments, we can highly recommend Porthmeor Beach as the best spot to catch the sunset. An idyllic location for a summers evening, which accompanied by a take-away, is a must have treat on your holiday. St Ives has so many takeaway options, whether you fancy going alfresco with some antipasti or keeping things classic with fish & chips, you really are spoilt or choice.
If you are enjoying a dog friendly holiday don't forget that after 6pm, dogs are allowed on the beach with you too.
Sharing St Ives- Antipasti Boxes
If you are looking for a stress free evening with dinner all sorted for you, how about continuing the summer theme with a selection of delicious Antipasti. Sharing St Ives are able to prepare an Antipasti box to suit your party size and deliver it to your apartment for no extra cost. A prefect way to enjoy some Cornish produce and to compliment watching the sunset.
Harbour Fish & Chips
Harbour Fish and Chips prides itself on it’s locally sourced fish and Cornish potatoes. A classic takeaway, making it the perfect combination for an easy summer meal. Located on the harbour front, it’s just a 5 minute walk back to Porthmeor.
West Beach
Located at the far end of Porthmeor, West Beach offers a selection of pizzas away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Open until 9pm, you can grab a pizza just in time for sunset. The cocktails on offer are also pretty yummy too!
Stoned Pizza
From classic and gourmet to plant power creations– Stoned has a pizza for everyone. There's also some very tasty garlic bread pizzas too. Located on West Pier, opposite the Lifeboat Station, it’s just a short five-minute walk from Sail Lofts.
Hub
Sometimes a burger is just what you need and the Hub Box burger is one of our favourites, offering both prime cut and plant based burgers. You can save time by ordering online through their click and collect service, offering an easy alternative to queueing for dinner.
How about a post-sunset treat?
There are almost unlimited choices for dessert on the Harbour Front. Why not take an evening stroll accompanied by something sweet?... Keep an eye out though as the seagulls may fancy a taste too.

Home to a very impressive selection of ice cream flavours, Jus deserts is the place to go if you are an ice cream lover...but it’s not just ice creams, they also offer milkshakes, coffee, slushie's and waffles. Yum!
